Use the amaZEN U Mood Chart to identify the class’s general mood before and after a yoga and mindfulness session.
Remember that identifying the mood of your class is a skill that is developed over time. It starts with asking the question, observing the class, and becoming attuned. All emotions are valuable to recognize and it is important to develop the skills to respond in healthy ways.
Before a session: Use the chart to choose a mood that best describes the students or classroom, and receive video suggestions.
After a session: Select the mood that best described the students or classroom after an amaZEN U session.
Our best-in-class program will suggest videos based on the chosen mood–no sifting through hundreds of videos and wasting precious time. While we’ve created sample schedules that are housed in your Teacher Dashboard, we’re also happy to create customized amaZEN U schedules for your class. Email us at email@example.com to get started.
Simply a device with an internet connection. amaZEN U is made specifically with the average classroom in mind, so no special equipment is needed. Students may sit at their desks or in chairs. Teachers log-on, connect to a screen that all students can see (such as a big monitor, smartboard, or projector), and press play.
No projector? No problem! Many of the videos (especially the mindfulness ones) can be done by just listening. You can also have students watch on a smaller screen and lead the videos.
We’re thrilled you’re starting your yoga and mindfulness practice with your students! No yoga experience is necessary. Videos are short and easy to follow. However, we always recommend that those new to yoga start with chair poses. Chair poses are shorter in length and have fewer steps. As your students (and you!) improve focus, balance, flexibility, and strength, then move to standing pose videos.
We recommend you:
Remember that everyone’s poses will look different, as we are all individuals.
